Emerald City Con + Hero Initiative

click for larger version.

This is my contribution to the Hero Initiative's Emerald City Con Sketchbook. It'll be very limited, featuring amazing artists, and has a knockout cover by Tim Sale. Obviously it will go on sale at the con, and I suppose online if there are any remaining copies. This was a fun little pin-up to do and it is of Lola Lilly, the lead character from my Fata Obstant book. I'll probably include this image in the pitch packet when I get around to pitching this series as well.
As always I love helping out HERO and they have been very good to me and given me great exposure, all while helping a great cause.

Awesome stuff, man! Are you going to be in seattle for the con?

Nice illustration, Ryan. I dig the composition, Lola's pose and how you drew the cogs and gears. Very cool.

Hope all's going well for you. By the way, are you heading over to Charlie's Comics for Free Comic Book Day this year, or are you going to stay closer to home?

Craig - I will be there, I'll be at table H, I think it's towards the back middle area. Brubaker and Bendis are at that table too, so look for crowds and the out of place artist.

Dan - Thanks Dan, I actually used some minor photo ref for the pose and Sketchup for the gears, so it's funny you pointed those out. I will be at Atomic comics again for FCBD, they always treat me so well it's almost like another con for me.

Gary - I LOVE that piece. A bit out of my range though it is amazing. Thanks for the link.

Nice image, Ryan. Tell Brubaker he's awesome and ask Bendis what the hell with the lame Secret Invasion ending?...or better yet, just get some work from those guys, a high profile book could'nt hurt, right? :)

Heh, yeah I'm sure they would be fighting over working with me.
